The Workshop
MIP Phototrips: New York An immersive weekend of photography, observation, and shared experience in New York City September 26 & 27, 2026 New York is one of the most photographed cities in the world; dense, unpredictable, cinematic, and constantly changing. This photography workshop is designed as an immersive weekend experience for participants interested in slowing down, observing carefully, and engaging with the city through photography. Throughout the weekend, we will walk and photograph different areas of the city, paying attention to light, movement, architecture, atmosphere, and everyday life. Rather than following a rigid itinerary or approaching the city as tourists, the workshop encourages participants to experience New York through presence, curiosity, and observation. Guided by Andrés Manner, whose relationship with New York has deeply influenced his photographic practice, the experience combines street photography, conversation, and shared exploration within a small group environment. The goal is not only to produce images, but to spend time looking, walking, and responding to the city in a more intentional way. Designed for photographers with a basic understanding of their camera, this workshop is ideal for anyone looking for a different kind of weekend—focused on photography, creative immersion, and connection with others who share similar interests. Group Size: Minimum 4 participants / Maximum 10 participants. If the minimum number of participants is not reached by August 30, all registrations will be fully refunded.
